Making progress..

13th November - Well after a week of rain and gales I finally emerged from the ‘workshop’ with my first kit complete, and not a bad effort for first time  if I say so myself!
The guards van is made from a laser cut kit and comes as plain wood which I then ‘decorated’, with no particular theme in mind.

So ‘trials’ were required on the Phase 2 loop of the BL. Trials can be quite ‘stressful’ and I will probably be affected by some form of ‘mental illness’ but then self inflicted so no sympathy!

Trials were successful it was then time for the big track so last Sunday we went to South Devon Railway and run ‘Phyllis’ c/w guards van on the ‘big’ track. Well big meaning longer, not big in scale - so to speak!
Again, more success, which hopefully you may be able to see in the following.

Today (Tuesday) we have been cutting and preparing track bed (Sheila's old shed actually). Cutting out the station and sidings area.

All now back in the engine house where lots of painting, sealing, weatherproofing and felting to be done!!
