Santa Special

Well, after less than acceptable weather battering the South West in recent days a glimmer of sunshine was encouragement enough to load up the car, ensure the 'invalid' was left at home with suitable supplies, and it was off to 'Dartbridge' for a 'steam up'.

Fortunately on arrival two other members were on site so 'Phyllis' would be good to go - and by now the sun was shining - goodness! Unfortunately the 'relief station manager' from Kent had to return home earlier in the morning so missed all the fun. (Yes it was!).

Out on the main line the South Devon Railway were running their 'Santa Specials' so not to be out done I decided to run ours - complete with new SR rolling stock! How impressive is that?

An hour later and with greying skies it was time to pack up and return home for essential maintenance following a successful run!!!
