No - it appears the recently strong winds and sudden hailstorm took its toll on the urban development alongside the BLL, that and poor security by the management team!
We awoke two mornings ago to find the warehouse scattered over the railway and patio - but still mainly intact apart from a few roofing slates coming adrift, well in fact - all the roofing slates. Amazingly the cat was still on the roof!
Overall it does show the strength of the resin buildings and the glue used so well done 'Modeltown'.
Not to be down hearted I have already repaired the major structural damage and am putting contingency plans in place to prevent (or should that be reduce) a reoccurrence or similar. This will then be detailed in our risk assessment spreadsheet and lessons learned for future development. (Who writes this stuff!!!)
Regarding line building progress we have now cut out the templates for completion of the loop. Yes, nearly there but a good bit of refinement has to be completed including weatherproofing, structural supports and finally track laying. A temporary bridging piece across the path has been designed.
Work is currently on hold however due to poor weather and a trip away in the van forthcoming. This will include a visit to the 'Lynton and Barnstaple Railway' this weekend.
PS The repaired buildings will of course be remaining undercover until our return!!!
