Slow progress

Sadly very little to report at present as 'we' have been side tracked (!) on to other things recently and also the weather has not been in our favour.

Some new track and a set of points arrived the other day so I now have enough of both to complete the layout but a decision is awaiting on the final routing of the Southern line back from the flower bed to the lower patio as the lantern tree is showing signs of inactivity!! Its all very important this.

I have also been seeking advice on the type and application of line 'ballast' - all very involved it seems.

So building and decorating continues in the workshop on the new warehouse which needs considerable painting - but all will be revealed eventually.

We are still planning for the official opening in August at which drinks and canapés will be served in the garden as we all cheer the final 'spike' being installed by a well known celebrity (ssssh, secret). Also there will be a big screen viewing of our holiday snaps from Canada aboard the 'Canadian' - so don't book your holidays elsewhere just yet. Why would you want to miss all this fun!!!

Ah well, back to the workshop....
