Mamod update etc...

Well sadly, further to the previous post the Mamod that I sent off for 'assessment' has been declared 'insolvent' - or that is what it could make me if I pursued getting it upgraded to gas fired and running once more.

Roy (Roy Wood Models) was very helpful and we had several discussions on a way forward after he carried out several tests on it. So the outcome being of all that - possibly retain it for spares or more likely I will put it out on the line somewhere as a 'static' exhibit.

Not much train running over the past couple of weeks as the weather has deteriorated but I have added some night lighting' around the track edge, more to be installed possibly, to give the line - and garden a somewhat more appealing feel as the winter progresses. What I have to master now (!!!) is putting some lighting in a couple of my guards vans.

If any member of SDGRG is viewing this and would like to help set up a small 'online' information group where we can exchange information for the tasks some of us may find somewhat more challenging in our GR hobby - please get in touch.  It could be an opportunity to exchange ideas, improve skills, finish those unfinished projects etc? A problem shared is a problem halved - apparently!!!

Ah well back to the paint box - I have some figures to paint up.

..and don't forget  ...
